Everything you need to know about Loopivo
Which kinds of tasks is AI grading suitable for?+
AI grading is suitable for tasks that can be assessed against a clear model solution and defined grading criteria. This makes it an excellent fit for all STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
AI grading is also suitable for other subjects, as long as the tasks are clearly assessable. For example in geography (climate charts, key terms), history (dates, facts and connections), as well as economics and law (key terms, calculations such as interest and percentages). In languages, it is suitable for clearly assessable tasks such as vocabulary, translations, grammar, or reading comprehension with factual questions.
It is not suitable for open, creative, personal, or highly subjective tasks (e.g. essays, poetry interpretation). For those, Loopivo still supports you with suggestions and feedback, but you, the teacher, make the actual assessment.
Does Loopivo generate grades fully automatically?+
No. Fully automatic grading without teacher oversight is intentionally not how Loopivo works. Responsibility for the grade always stays with you, the teacher.
The "Auto with release" mode is meant for formative feedback, i.e. practice without grade relevance. In this mode, students receive pedagogically valuable feedback on their answers right away, together with access to the model solution.
The "Auto with hold" mode (autograde-hold) is suitable for grade-relevant exams. The AI prepares the assessment, but results stay on hold until you have reviewed, adjusted if needed, and then released them. As an additional safeguard, a learner review is firmly anchored in the workflow: students raise any questions about the assessment directly in the platform. Open questions must be resolved with the teacher before an exam can reach "final" status.
